This weekend I had the privilege of photographing Rachel and Craig’s special day!  For months I had been anticipating this day and the chance to try my hand at wedding photography again! Everything about this wedding was beautiful, from the punch to the bride herself! We began at Sweetgrass Too, a unique salon situated in the heart of Candler Park.

From there it was on to Cinefest Film Theatre to prepare for the ceremony! Craig had been running around all morning trying to decorate and direct, and finally made it into his suit and took a breather with his guys. In this shot the guys were helping Craig go over his vows.  (I love how the groomsmen in the middle has Craig’s boutonniere in hand and the pin in his mouth!)

The ladies were absolutely stunning!  I really thought the purple flowers with the red ribbon really made the bouquets pop!

Craig’s mother and other close relatives helped create this beautiful cake! It truely was delicious and I could tell she was proud to serve it to the guests!

When I heard where Rachel and Craig wanted their engagement photos taken, I was thrilled! Not only are the Majestic Diner and Plaza Theatre close to my apartment, they are also very established and  well known for their nightlife. It is not uncommon for the diner to be packed at 3AM on any given morning. These places really are landmarks, and have warm places in our hearts! I really feel that Rachel and Craig’s photos came out so well because they were able to relate with their surroundings, having shared memories there! As the shoot progressed I was able to capture a few very natural shots, and the first photograph here is definitely one of my favorites!

Beautiful Audrey was born just a little over a month ago to my friends Jessica and Todd! This was my first experience photographing a newborn, and I have to say it went very well! I would definitely love to do this again, and how could I not? Just look at her!

She fell into a sweet dream about halfway through the shoot! How peaceful!

This past Friday I finally had the chance to test out my new lighting equipment! Chad, who I have known since childhood, needed photographs for his modeling portfolio. We took the majority of the photos on the backdrop, but managed to snap some images outside as well. The highlight of the shoot was when Chad and I carried my sofa onto the backdrop for a few relaxed shots. The couch was much heavier than expected, but the photographs from that portion turned out great!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing my in-laws at Piedmont Park, here in Atlanta. As frisbees were thrown and dogs chased tennis balls, we all spoke of our own experiences in this very park, some recent and some from years past. As we neared our destination in the park, I could spot someone in our way, on the very stairs I had planned to do the shoot. He moved through yoga positions like a swan, and was concentrating so intensely that I feared asking him to relocate. That being said, we found a spot just as nice around the corner. Here we began the shoot, and with the help of a little tickling, the photos turned out great!

I am proud to be a part of this beautiful, loving family. May we always abound in peace, love, and happiness.

This past Satuday was a beautiful spring day, perfect for photographing Heather and DJ! Despite a few odd things that happened along the way (including bird droppings, wandering wet dogs, and porta-potties), the shoot was wonderful! Heather and I worked at Griffith’s Drive In a couple of years ago together, and before the end of the shoot, they had decided to eat dinner there later! They are an adorable couple, and I wish them all of the best in the future!

I recently had the privilege of photographing Chaos Frame, a local band that I have known for years. I have seen them through many times and many venues, Halo touraments and late night McDonald’s runs. They are exciting and full of engery on stage and off.

This was my first time experiencing the Vinyl! It was great!

My husband, Daniel, is always a great sport when I ask him to model for me!  I  practically threw him outside and he did not complain once! These were taken right outside of our apartment.

This past Saturday was spent in Little 5 Points photographing the lovely Megan!  The sunshine brought out everyone to the streets that day. It was perfect for a photoshoot! Here are a few of the images!
